ATLANTA (AP) - A woman who spent 11 years as a fugitive after a killing in New York has been arrested in Georgia.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Frances Parks was found living under an assumed name in the south Georgia town of Willacoochee.
The U.S. Marshals Service says Parks was convicted of murder, rape and robbery in a 1975 attack in which she and four other people forced their way into a New York apartment.
A man was killed, and authorities say three men sexually assaulted a woman who was in the apartment.
Parks was paroled but left New York in 2002 in violation of the terms of her release.
Authorities located her living in a home in the south Georgia city on Monday. She's awaiting extradition to New York.
