BSO: Man stabbed and killed near Napier Avenue has been identified

It happened just after 2:15 a.m.

MACON, Ga. — A man is dead after being stabbed early Tuesday morning near Napier Avenue in Macon, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office. 

Deputies arrived in the 4000 block of Forest Ave West just after 2:15 a.m. to find 61-year-old Mitchell Edward Wells lying in the road. He was taken to a local hospital and later pronounced dead by the hospital staff.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s is investigating what led to the stabbing. 13WMAZ will provide additional information when it is made available.
