Man charged with Warner Robins’ first homicide of 2019

Police say he was already in jail for a probation violation when they charged him with murder

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Warner Robins Police announced Monday that they’ve charged a man already in jail with the city’s first homicide of 2019.

According to a news release, detectives charged 21-year-old Terrence Jones with the murder of Melando Moore. 

Jones is also charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He’s currently in the Houston County Detention Center in Perry after being arrested on May 8 for a probation violation.

43-year-old Melando Moore was shot on May 6 in the parking lot of Tanglewood Apartments on Elberta Road. He died several days later.
