MACON, Ga. — A Macon man was arrested after he allegedly chased a woman and shot at her while driving.

According to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, around 5:45 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, deputies were sent to the area of Anthony Road and Mercer University Drive about one person shooting at another

They found a driver in a Chevy Silverado, later identified as 46-year-old Carlos McCoy.

McCoy drove off when deputies tried to stop the car, so they followed him to Gledhill Street, according to the release.

The release says deputies tased McCoy because he refused to follow deputies' instructions when he got out of the car.

McCoy was allegedly chasing and shooting at a 28-year-old woman as they were driving.

The release says McCoy was mad because she was leaving an "unknown location" and he wanted her to stay.

Deputies found a gun when they did an inventory of his car.

McCoy is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and fleeing and eluding police. He is being held without bond at this time.

Anyone with information about the case can call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at (478) 751-7500.
