GRAY, Ga. — A Jones County middle school teacher is in jail, charged with molesting a student at school.
W. Tate Wilson was arrested Thursday and charged with one count of child molestation, according to Lt. Kenny Gleaton of the sheriff's office.
He would not discuss details of the case, including the student's age and sex. But he said the alleged molestation happened at the Clifton Ridge Middle School.
Gleaton says investigators are interviewing other students Friday.
The Clifton Ridge online directory lists Wilson as a seventh-grade English and language arts teacher.
Some parents told 13WMAZ Friday they were upset that parents were notified of the arrest.
We left messages for Jones County Superintendent Chuck Gibson and Principal Charles Lundy. They didn't return our phone calls.
