BONAIRE, Ga. — Just before 11 a.m. Monday, Warner Robins Police responded to a call asking for a wellness check on Edgarton Way in Bonaire.
In the home at 122 Edgarton Way, they found three people dead inside: Betsy Burke, 84, Tiara Burke, 34, and Antwain Everett, 35.
"I just miss my mom," Tina Burke said, talking about her mother Betsy.
A technical difficulty cut our interview short before Burke could say any more, but her words cut deep. Burke says Betsy and Tiara lived in the home. Warner Robins Police say Everett was from Macon.
The Burke family remembers Betsy and Tiara as sweet and kind. They say the two would never hurt anyone. It makes Tina Burke wonder who would do something like this. Burke doesn't know what happened, but the Warner Robins Police Department says someone shot the three.
Dozens of family and friends gathered outside the house all afternoon, just waiting for some answers. Everett's family joined the Burkes as they all tried to piece the situation together. Both families told 13WMAZ the situation was terrible all around, and they clung to each other for support. They say all they can do now is support each other to try and heal.
Everett's family declined an interview.
The police department says they'll likely be on scene all night investigating what exactly happened. They say their main goal is bringing some closure to all the family. If you have any information on the shooting, you can call the Warner Robins Police Department at (478) 302-5380.
