MACON, Ga. — A 36-year-old man was shot and killed near Mercer University Drive in Macon late Sunday night, according to a release from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Gregory William Thomas was sitting on the porch of a duplex on Cedar Avenue at a party when he was shot at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday night. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead by the hospital staff. The next of kin has been notified.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led up to the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
