MACON, Ga. — A 32-year-old man has been arrested in a shooting death at the Brookhaven Townhouses, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
37-year-old Christopher Matthew Rachalla was shot and killed at 4861 Brookhaven Road on Wednesday just after 6:30 p.m.
Investigators believe 32-year-old Keywan Gerold Capers was in an argument with his girlfriend when Rachalla tried to intervene and was shot and killed by Capers.
Capers left in his girlfriend's vehicle. Bibb deputies along with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office stopped him shortly after he left. They arrested and charged him with aggravated assault and murder.
He is currently being held without bond
