BUTTS COUNTY, Ga. — A Central Georgia sheriff's deputy has been arrested and charged for stalking and harassing an ex-girlfriend, according to the GBI.
55-year-old Marlin Mountrie, a Butts County Sheriff's deputy was charged with three counts of misdemeanor stalking and three counts of misdemeanor harassing communications.
The Pike County Sheriff's Office asked the GBI on Nov. 4 to investigate allegations against Moultrie.
Moultrie had a relationship with a woman from Pike County. After the relationship ended, Moultrie is accused of stalking and harassing the woman in three counties. He was booked at the Pike County, Upson County and Spalding County jails.
