GRAY, Ga. — A month-long investigation led the Jones County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit to arrest four people and find thousands of dollars worth of meth this week.
According to a news release, 26-year-old Yesica Garcia, 26-year-old Ruth Monje, 33-year-old Jose Zepeta, and 29-year-old Erika Alvarenga were arrested around 7 p.m. Tuesday in Gray.
The release says the arrests led police to a gun and over 2,000 grams of methamphetamine, which has a value of about $14,000.
Garcia and Monje are charged with trafficking methamphetamine. Zepeta and Alvarenga are facing methamphetamine trafficking charges and possession of a gun during a felony.
Four charged with meth trafficking after month-long investigation
Zepeta was on probation when he was arrested and was out on bond for a 2018 Hall County methamphetamine trafficking charge, according to the release.
This is an ongoing investigation and police expect to make more arrests.
The sheriff's office says Gray Police Department, Georgia Department of Community Supervision, Georgia Department of Corrections, and the United States Marshal’s Service Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force helped with the investigation.
