WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — A former Warner Robins city employee has been convicted for stealing over $25,000 from the city.
According to a news release from the Houston County District Attorney's Office, Pamela Mullis was sentenced Thursday by a superior court judge to 10 years and will have to pay just under $45,900 with the first $23,000 to be paid within 10 days.
Pamela Mullis worked in the Warner Robins Community and Economic Development Department.
Police said Mullis had been taking money from the city's mortgage assistance program since 2018. A Warner Robins Police news release said she'd take money from customers, but wouldn't report that the money was paid.
Officials discovered the theft when the city started looking into missing money.
Mullis kept copies of the receipts of each theft. The receipts were turned over to law enforcement during the investigation. In total, Mullis took $45,870.26 from the City of Warner Robins.
Houston County District Attorney William Kendall says that Mullis will serve the first 90 to 120 days of her sentence in the probation detention center.
