According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the victim has been identified as Nathaniel Alexander Elder, 16.

Bibb deputies are investigating after a shooting that left a 16-year-old dead Wednesday night.
According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the call came in just before 9 p.m. about someone shot in the 3800 block of Log Cabin Drive.
When they made it to the scene, deputies found a 16-year-old who had been shot. He was taken to Atrium Health Navicent, The Medical Center where he was pronounced dead just before 9:45 p.m., according to Macon-Bibb Coroner Leon Jones.
This case is still under investigation.
