Man in critical condition after Cordele stabbing

CORDELE, Ga. — A Cordele man is in critical condition after a stabbing on Monday night.

According to a release from the Cordele Police Department, 26-year-old James Ray was stabbed near a Quickmart.

Ray is in critical condition at Crisp Regional Hospital.

The release says it happened around 7:45 p.m. near the Quickmart at 501 West 16th Avenue.

Police have issued a warrant for 33-year-old Charles Brown Jr. for aggravated assault.

No further information will be released at this time.
