MACON, Ga. — Bibb deputies have arrested a man wanted in the May 5 shooting death of 28-year-old Kaneza Owens.
According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, last week, deputies were called to the Green Meadows Townhouses on Log Cabin Drive around 3:45 a.m. and found Owens shot and unresponsive.
An arrest warrant says Owens' boyfriend, 23-year-old Treyvon Walker, shot her "at least twice in the chest" after an argument. It says he was trying to run out the back door while deputies were on scene. A neighbor said that it happened in front of Owens' 6-year-old daughter.
Tuesday, investigators arrested Walker just after 11 a.m. at a home in the 1500 block of Dexter Avenue. He was taken to the Bibb County jail where he is charged with Murder and Probation Violation. Walker is being held without bond.
This case is still under investigation.
