A Macon man was arrested Thursday morning after deputies found that he was carrying drugs and needles.
According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, 36-year-old Joshua Goldberg was arrested just before 12:30 a.m. on July 4 after deputies saw him walking near Saint Francis Episcopal Church near Forest Hill Road and Ridge Avenue carrying a large bag.
When asked why he was at the church so late, deputies noticed Goldberg's hands were shaking and his voice was trembling. They found out that Goldberg had a warrant out for his arrest in Clayton County.
Deputies found a small bag of Methamphetamine, several Hydrocodone pills, and hypodermic needles in Goldberg's bag.
He was taken to the Bibb County jail and charged with two counts of Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance. He is being held on a $16,900 bond at this time.
