CORDELE, Ga. — One person is dead after a shooting at an apartment complex in Cordele, according to a post on Facebook from the police department.
The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. on Friday at the Hilltop Apartments in the 200 block of W 24th Avenue. Deputies found a 31-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was transported by ambulance to Crisp Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead after several attempts to save his life.
At this time, the GBI and the Cordele Police Department are working to identify who shot and killed the man. His identity has not been released.
