DUBLIN, Ga. — One man is dead and two other people are wounded after an early morning shooting in Dublin.
Coroner Richard Stanley said it happened around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at the corner of N Calhoun Street and Sunset Drive.
He said Darel Guyton, age 28, died and two others were flown to a Macon hospital.
Dublin Police Chief Tim Chatman confirmed that the shooting was being investigated as a homicide and said there was one person of interest.
Neighbors on North Calhoun Street said the sight outside was a scary one come Tuesday morning.
“I was in my bed last night, I heard a shot, I didn’t see anything. I came out of the door [and] the man was laying right there. He wasn’t talking,” said Glenda Jenkins.
According to other neighbors, there was an instance of violence just a few days earlier where one woman was grazed after stray bullets entered her home.
Neither Chatman or Dublin Police investigators could be reached again for comment.
