COBB COUNTY, GA. - A Cobb County school officials said the cause of a 3-vehicle accident involving a school bus was road rage.

In a statement to 11Alive, Lauretta Hannon said, "At 7:11 am Bus 1547 was involved in a road rage incident which involved one car hitting the front of the bus on I-75 NB at exit 263. There were 55 students for Powers Ferry Elementary School on board. One student was transported to the hospital."

11 children were transported to school with minor injuries. Marietta Fire Department responded to the scene and were seen giving aid to students. Officials on the scene said the students were transferred to school where their parents will decide if they need to go to the hospital.

Two adults who were in an SUV were transported to the hospital.

More buses arrived on the scene to take the students to school.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash. In a statement to 11Alive, they said as two vehicles crashed while entering I-75 N from Delk Road.

"One driver lost control of the vehicle and entered into the bus’s lane of travel."

Earlier Tuesday morning two school buses was involved in a wreck on I-85 N just before I-285. A small amount of students were on board but were not injured. A Fulton County schools spokesperson said the accident happened when a vehicle changed lanes and struck the bus.

The bus driver had a minor injury but refused treatment. The driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital.
