A Bibb County Sheriff’s Corrections Deputy was arrested and charged with aggravated assault Friday evening.
Police were called to the home of 44-year-old Tavy Knowlton Sr. for a domestic dispute incident. Knowlton and his wife had been arguing when he grabbed a gun and started waving it around, making threats to harm her. Knowlton left the house before deputies arrived.
Knowlton was later arrested and taken to the Bibb County jail.
Knowlton was placed on administrative leave.
No bond has been set at this time.
