Macon teen in stable condition after being shot in stomach

The Bibb Co. Sheriff's Office says the shooting took place around 5 p.m. on Third Avenue

MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says they're investigating a shooting that resulted in a 15-year-old being shot in the stomach Saturday afternoon.

The office says the shooting took place on the 2100 block of Third Avenue near Walnut Street around 5 p.m.

They say it was reported two males were arguing outside of a home when one of them took out a gun and shot the other in the stomach.

15-year-old D'Michael Jenkins was transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The office says the suspect fled the scene on foot, and the shooting is still under investigation.
