Yes, Chick-fil-A is launching its own streaming app. Here's what it'll offer

With games, original shows and many other forms of content, Chick-fil-A Play is a step into the media landscape for the fast-food chain.

MACON, Ga. — Chick-fil-A is creating a streaming service for kids called Chick-fil-A Play, hitting app stores in the next few weeks, the company announced in a press release.

They say it is an app with parents and kids in mind, and it will be available on app stores starting Nov. 18.

Chick-fil-A is promising a wide array of offerings on Chick-fil-A Play.

They say Chick-fil-A Play will feature original animated shows, scripted kids-focused podcasts, recipes, books and games that the fast-food chain hopes will be fun for the whole family.

One of the originals, Evergreen Hills, is a story about kindness and fantasy. They released a trailer for the series on their YouTube page.

Another show, Rocky Road, is described as a "playful new adventure with the animated Chick-fil-A Cows."

They say you could watch it on a TV or tablet, but they say the show is designed to be watched together.

Chick-fil-A says they have games promising full for the whole family along with "video-based recipes and kid-friendly crafts."

Plus, they have family-friendly E-books and interactive stories.

In a statement, Dustin Britt, executive director of brand strategy for Chick-fil-A, says that they're hoping to make the streaming service an extension of the service and hospitality the chicken chain is known for.

"Hospitality and fun have always been at the core of the Chick-fil-A family experience, whether inside our Restaurants and play areas, or through our Kids Meals,” Britt said. “The Chick-fil-A Play App is a digital extension of that experience and another way we’re reimagining ‘Play’ for our Guests, in a unique way through entertainment that really encourages time together.”

The Chick-fil-A Play streaming app launches on Nov. 18. The app is also free!
