A company that makes a variety of subscription services for dogs is opening a contest for any owners and their canine companions to win a chance at a free tattoo of their beloved pet.
BARK, based in New York, has announced its third annual National Dog Day tattoo contest, which runs until Sept. 6.
To win the tattoo, participants must submit a photo of their dog "with an explanation as to why they are most deserving of the permanent declaration of love" by clicking here, according to BARK.
Two hundred people are eligible to win the prize: "a $150 Visa card to put towards a dog-inspired tattoo of any style from any artist of their choosing."
BARK also released its top 10 most popular dog breeds to get tattoos of, according to contest submissions. Mutts are No. 1, followed by pit bulls and bulldogs in second and third. Labrador retrievers, dachshunds, chihuahuas, golden retrievers, German shepherds, corgis and pugs round out the rest of the list.
