The Rose Room cocktail lounge now open in downtown Macon. Here's what it offers

The lounge opened about two weeks ago and is the creation of co-owners Jonathan Sandlin and Heather Owens.

MACON, Ga. — If you're planning a trip to downtown Macon soon, you can now stop by a new cocktail lounge by the Capitol Theater.

The Rose Room opened about two weeks ago and is the creation of co-owners Jonathan Sandlin and Heather Owens.

They serve lots of unique cocktails and mixed drinks, but can also keep it classic with drinks like their Negroni and espresso martini.

No matter what you're looking for, they can help you find the drink for you. They also have non-alcoholic options if you don't want liquor.

Sandlin says their level of service is unmatched.

"We provide really great hospitality. You come in, you meet Heather or you meet me — one of us will be here always. We'll talk to you and show you a good time and the level of hospitality and the quality of your drink I think is unmatched in this town," he said.

He says the atmosphere also adds to the experience and the lounge is a great place to go for some laid-back drinks.

"It's a good place to get really great cocktails in a laid-back, relaxed environment. It's very mid-century and inviting, its a good date night spot," he continued.

You can find the Rose Room on Second Street in downtown Macon.

They are open Thursday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m. and on Sundays from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

If you stop by, just keep a few things in mind: there is no reservation needed, no dress code, and no food.
