Restaurant roundup: From bar food to coffee to cookies, here's a list of some new Central Georgia restaurants

Taco Mac is opening soon, and Red Owl Coffee opened just a month ago.

MACON, Ga. — Some new restaurants have opened up in Central Georgia, and even more are coming soon.

Here's a roundup of some places that you can look forward to visiting, and some that have just opened their doors to the public. 

Coming soon:

1) Taco Mac

The long-awaited Taco Mac is getting closer and closer to being open to the public. 

Right now, they are hiring at their location at 5433 Bowman Road. 

While an official opening is unclear, things are moving forward.

2) Insomnia Cookies

Insomnia Cookies is another eatery that is set to open soon.

It will be located by Amici and Osaka on Mercer University Drive.

There is no official opening date yet, but their door says the shop should be open by the end of the year.

3) Charley's Cheesesteaks

Popular chain restaurant Charley's is also opening in Warner Robins, at 2801 Watson Boulevard. 

They are known for their famous cheesesteak sandwiches, sides like loaded fries, and fruit-flavored lemonades. 

Just Opened:

1) Red Owl Coffee Company 

Red Owl Coffee just took flight in Macon, and their Thomaston Road location has been open for just over a month.

They serve traditional coffee options along with custom blends, milkshakes and smoothies, and breakfast sandwiches.  

2) 7 Brew Coffee

7 Brew Coffee just opened two new locations in central Georgia - one on Bass Road in Macon, and one in Warner Robins. 

The coffee chain is a drive-through shop, and they have classic coffee and tea drinks along with milkshakes and specialty flavors. 

The brand's website says they want to cultivate kindness and joy with every drink they serve.
