MACON, Ga. — Starting Friday and extending until next week, downtown Macon is preparing an array of special espressos to wrap up the summer: introducing Macon Espresso Martini Week.
As Sabrina Carpenter's song "Espresso" tops the charts, Macon is "thinkin' 'bout" espresso martinis, and after having a few, you'll probably "say you can't sleep"!
Newtown Macon "walked in and dream-came-trued it for ya" by announcing the line-up for Macon Espresso Martini Week.
For those who don't drink alcohol, there are some virgin espresso martinis on the list too!
Here's a look at what will be offered this week until the end of Macon's Espresso Martini Week on Sept. 14.
Black Cat
At the speakeasy at Kinjo, they're offering the Tinkerbell espresso martin. This includes Applejack Brandy, Z-beans espresso concentrate, house espresso liqueur along with coconut milk simple syrup.
The Brick
For those espresso martini lovers excited for the sweet eats of fall, the Brick has got this spin on the espresso martini for you: the Espresso Smoretini! The espresso martini meets the s'more.
The Brick will be serving an espresso martini with Stoli vanilla vodka, Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, chocolate syrup and a toasted marshmallow for garnish. Summer meets fall!
JBA
This is another spin on the espresso martini embracing fall, too! They'll be serving the PSL (Pumpkin Spice Latte) Martini. This drink includes pumpkin puree, sweet and condensed milk, brown sugar, Longleaf Vodka and espresso!
VIBEZ:
For espresso martini week, VIBEZ is serving up the VAnilla Espresso Martini with Bailey's Float. This drink includes vanilla vodka, coffee liqueur, fresh espresso, Baileys Irish Cream and vanilla bean pod garnish.
Hotel Forty Five
Hotel 45's restaurant, Loom and Hightales, is serving up the Espresso 45. That includes vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso and Creme de Cacao.
But for those wanting the spirit of an espresso martini in the morning, the hotel's coffee shop, Reckon, has a Mocktail Espresso Martini. it features Illy intense espresso beans with heavy whipping cream, pure cane sugar, vanilla extract and a salt cocoa powder rim.
Kinjo Kitchen + Cocktails
Kinjo is inviting you to get Thai'd and Caffeinated. Their drink includes Laird's applejack brandy, thai tea, simple syrup and the restaurant's house-made espresso liqueur. That liqueur is made with local coffee shop's espresso martini, Z Beans.
Oliver's Bistro
Oliver's Bistro is serving up an O-Spresso. That features Longleaf Vodka, Borghetti Espresso Liqueur, Cold brew, simple syrup and it is topped with coffee beans.
Rose Room
You can meet the Cafe Mocha espresso martini at the Rose Room this week. There's description is quite simple: "A hybrid espresso and chocolate martini." What else can you ask for?
Vintage Restaurant
At the Vintage Restaurant at the Marriot, they're serving up an Espresso Yourself Martini. This vanilla vodka, coffee liqueur, fresh expresso, Baileys Irish cream and vanilla bean pod garnish. So espresso yourself!
Braddock's Cask & Table
The new restaurant Braddock's is getting involved in the espresso martini game. They're serving a martini with Repo Tequila, St George Coffee Liqueur, simple syrup, walnut liqueur and a dash of orange bitters.
Circa:
Circa's espresso martini will feature Longleaf Vodka, taproot Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur and vanilla syrup. A worthy entry into the espresso martini fray!
Just Tap'd:
The taproom Just Tap'd is offering a Berrtini for espresso martini week. This drink includes vodka wine, Fall Line's Dark Delirium Stout and cold brew coffee.
Sweet Eleanor's:
For those who don't want the alcohol, Sweet Eleanor's coffeeshop is serving a non-alcoholic vanilla bean espresso martini for the festivities.
Reboot:
The retrocade is offering a sweet espresso martini with their Smores Espresso Martini. So as you play your pinball or video games, you can also get a taste of espresso and smores to cap off the experience.
Miramar
Miramar is serving Longleaf Vodka which will feature Atomic black espresso liqueur, Cold brew coffee along with a pinch of salt.
What else you need to know:
You can pick up a passport to track your progress on all the espresso martinis at any of the participating locations.
After you have the passport, you can sip and stamp — and once the week is done, you can vote online here.
And if you complete your passport, you can win products from Longleaf Distilling Co and Z Beans, who are presenting the event.
Now, after all the martinis, who knows? Maybe you'll say: "Is it that sweet? I guess so"
