UNADILLA, Ga. — Unadilla's own Cory Jones is facing the heat in the kitchen as he goes head-to-head on another Food Network show. This challenge, "Holiday Wars," was unlike anything he's done.
"It was literally the hardest thing I've ever done in my whole life," explained Jones.
Jones is in the show's 5th season. With teammates he's never met, the deadline of 7 hours to make life-sized structures with cakes, cookies and sugar made "Holiday Wars" difficult. Jones says the tallest structure this season is a little over 5 feet.
"To create these huge pieces out of food in that amount of time is not what I do every day. It was hard," says Jones.
The show spans eight episodes over several weeks.
"We filmed this during the early parts of fall and the end of summer in Park City, Utah. For "Holiday Wars," they reached out to me on Instagram," says Jones.
Then he submitted pictures of his work to get cast for the show and potentially take home the prize with his group of three.
"For 'Holiday Wars,' if you make it to the finale and you win, it's $25,000," says Jones.
The show premieres this weekend, November 5th, on The Food Network and streaming platform Max.
