MACON, Ga. — Ellie Millikan is a Multi-Skilled Journalist at 13WMAZ. She joined the team in July 2024.

Originally from Knoxville, Tennessee, Millikan graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Journalism and Media and a minor in Public Relations and Advertising in May 2024.

During her time at UT, she collaborated on the Medal of Honor Project, producing videos promoting the Medal of Honor Convention and interviewing recipients. She also served as Dee Jay Ellie Millie for WUTK The Rock, managing music selection, listener requests, and giveaways.

At UT's The Vol News Channel, Millikan reported, anchored news segments and contributed weekly features. Notable assignments included coverage of the processional for fallen deputy Greg McCowen and a profile story on Todd Helton, a former MLB athlete.

Ellie interned at Knoxville stations WVLT and WATE, as a multimedia journalist- pitching and contributing stories for broadcast. She was also active in Chi Omega and the Vol Team, hosting football recruits during the fall.

Ellie enjoys working out, traveling, singing, and is a huge VOL fan. On Saturdays you can find her sitting by a pool, going for a walk, or at some Tennessee sporting event.

She is excited to learn more about Central Georgia and report truthful, unbiased news.
