MACON, Ga. — Megan Western is the Weekend Evening Anchor and Multi-Skilled Journalist at 13WMAZ. She joined the 13WMAZ team in July 2022. She was promoted to the anchor desk in June 2024.
She was born and raised in the Buckeye state of Columbus, Ohio. Megan is a proud HBCU alumna, graduating from Howard University with a Bachelors of Arts in Media, Journalism, and Film in May 2022.
Megan loves verifying information for the community and breaking down local and state government topics.
In addition to anchoring, Megan's beat assignment is Houston County. She regularly attends Warner Robins City Council meetings and reports on issues important to people who live in that community.
When she isn’t working, Megan can be found glued to her phone scrolling through social media, binging her favorite TV series, or watching a new movie.
