MACON, Ga. — Frederick Price is a Weekday Morning Anchor and Multi-Skilled Journalist for 13WMAZ.
Born and raised in Pine Bluff, a small town in Arkansas, he understands how vital communities like Macon and Warner Robins are to people and truly cares about each story he reports.
Frankly, he’s always been a nosey guy, so of course, during his preteen years, he found an interest in journalism and telling people’s stories.
Back then, it wasn’t uncommon not to see a huge amount of racial and gender diversity on the screen, so he worked hard to become the journalist the community trusts and aspiring Black journalists can look up to.
Before moving to Macon, he worked in Little Rock as a reporter at KTHV. He covered stories ranging from a historic gubernatorial governor’s race to a devastating EF3 tornado and everything in between.
He also works hard to shine a light on underrepresented groups, like the LGTBQ+ community, for example, and give those people a voice.
He graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 2021 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
Frederick is the first to admit that his love for food is one he takes seriously, so if you have any good restaurant recommendations, he’s begging you to send them.
When not on the desk, you can find him exploring the state or laughing hysterically and spending way too much time on TikTok. (Send funny TikToks his way too.)
If you have a good story, a new adventure for him, or just want to say hey, email him at fprice@13wmaz.com.
