Cecily Stoute is a sports anchor and multi-skilled journalist at 13WMAZ

MACON, Ga. — Cecily Stoute is a Sports Anchor and Multi-Skilled Journalist at 13WMAZ. She joined the 13WMAZ team in July 2023 as a news reporter. 

Originally from Alpharetta, Cecily graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, a minor in Communications, and a Sports Media Certificate in May 2022.  

She graduated with a Master of Arts in Journalism in May 2023 from the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communications at The University of Georgia. 

In Athens, Cecily played five seasons with the women’s soccer team for UGA, was a member of L.E.A.D., the Diversity and Inclusion group, and earned several All-SEC honors. 

Cecily also represented the Red and Black on the national stage. She played in two World Cup Qualifying tournaments with Trinidad and Tobago. 

She was also a three sport athlete for Chattahoochee High School. She was a member of the soccer, track and field team, and the football team. She broke the school record in the 400m while running in the state championship, and was the first female kicker on the football team in her school’s history. 

Throughout her experience, Cecily enjoys making stories come to life and highlighting local athletes using visual content. She is excited to use her athletic experiences to highlight the experience of athletes on and off the field. 

 When she isn’t working, Cecily enjoys collecting vinyl records, watching Marvel movies, trying new restaurants or traveling.
