UPDATE: Shooting suspect turns himself in to Bibb Co. Jail

MACON, Ga. — UPDATE: 4:45 p.m.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says Knight turned himself in to deputies at the Bibb County Jail just before 2 p.m. on Sunday.

He was taken to be interviewed, then transported back to jail.

He is charged with aggravated assault and is being held on a $27,700 bond.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating a shooting suspect.

The office says they're looking for 46-year-old Charles Knight for shooting 40-year-old Charles Richard in the chest after a fight on Saturday night.

The office says the fight took place around 11 p.m. on Shakespeare Boulevard.

Knight is five foot, seven inches tall and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Richard is listed in stable condition at The Medical Center, Navicent Health in Macon.
