Two dead after four overnight shootings in Macon

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office is still investigating these incidents.

Two men are dead after four overnight shootings in Macon on Saturday.

A call came in just after 1 a.m. from the 1500 block of Berkner Avenue when deputies found Jim Baldwin, 44, who was shot in the the main artery of his leg, according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release.

Baldwin was pronounced dead at Navicent Health at 1:48 a.m. The release says that after the incident, the suspect fled on foot.

Another shooting happened at the Quick Serve gas station on Rocky Creek Road just before 1:30 a.m.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release, Clarence Clark, 22, and Malcom Houston, 22, were arguing hen firearms were drawn.

They were both shot in the stomach twice and are now listed in stable condition. The release says that no charges have been filed in this incident at this time.

In a separate shooting, Marlon Jermaine Williams, 44, was shot in the 2800 block of Mason Street around 2 a.m.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release, police found Williams' body lying in the road with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:27 a.m.

In the fourth shooting, Chaz Green, 35, was shot in the head at an apartment complex on Chambers Road around 2:30 a.m. after the news release says he "kicked at two apartment doors."

When Green kicked at the second door, the resident of that apartment fired a shot through the door, which struck Green in the head.

He is currently in stable condition.
