Puppets come alive at the 'Pinkest Party on Earth'

From thrill rides to fun filled acts, there are dozens of things to do down at the Cherry Blossom Festival

At a young age, Peter Hart had his heart set on being a star.

"I was an actor, so I was all set to go to New York and starve and be famous like all the others, but I needed one more thing in my tool box," he said.

Auditioning for a puppet company, a nine-month gig turned into a lifetime passion.

His favorite part? Getting to bring his audience into his imagination.

"We've all played when we were children, if we were guys we had action figures, and girls have dolls," said Hart. "We've all gone into that world where we manipulated and had little scenarios and playscapes with our figures and put ourselves in that world for a while. That is sort of what's going on here."

Hart says his goal is to allow people to relax and get away for a while.

"So there would be another facet to the carnival where the audience could come in and sort of leave the lights and motion and excitement and the squeals and see some theatrical beauty," he said.

From dancing clowns to prancing unicorns, there's bound to be something that strings you along and leaves you wanting more.

Hart has toured the U.S. and gone around the world to places like Saudi Arabia.

If you'd like to see Hart in action, he has three shows a day at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
