As bomb threats are being reported at schools and businesses all across the United States, the Peach County Sheriff's Office and Byron Police are dealing with the threats in Central Georgia.
According to Byron Police, at least two schools in Peach County have been cleared after students were evacuated.
Byron Elementary was cleared at 2:47 p.m. and Byron Middle around 3:30 p.m.
They say the threats came into the schools and other county buildings as well.
The students were taken to North Peach Park.
The FBI said it's also responding to the reports, however, a number of officials say they don't believe the threats are credible.
The bomb threats came in the form of a circulating email that demanded Bitcoin payments or wired money transfers, according to a tweet by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
