A Monroe County family is without a home after a fire early Sunday morning.
According to a post from Monroe County Emergency Services, it happened around 5:30 a.m. Sunday on Highway 87 near Highway 83.
The first firefighters to arrive at the house saw it was fully engulfed.
Since there were no fire hydrants nearby, firefighters had to perform a ‘water shuttle’ to transport water to the scene.
The post says the cause of fire hasn’t been determined yet, but the home is a total loss.
