Macon woman charged with shoplifting, hitting car at Kroger

Employees say she walked out with $125 worth of beauty supplies

MACON, Ga. — A Macon woman is out on bond after being arrested over the weekend for shoplifting at a Kroger.

According to a news release, deputies were called to the location on Forsyth Road on Saturday for a woman who had taken over $125 worth of beauty supplies without paying.

Employees to deputies that the woman, identified as 24-year-old Brianna Bruce, got into her car and drove away after hitting another car while backing out.

Deputies went to the address listed on Bruce’s tag and took her into custody along with the stolen items.

While checking her, they found drugs and drug paraphernalia on her. She is charged with theft by shoplifting, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug related objects.

She was released on an $11,700 bond the following day.
