Centerville — 13WMAZ is learning more about the officer injured during Friday night's shooting.
According to Centerville Police Chief Charles Hadden, Corporal Jeremy Mashuga has been with the Centerville Police Department for two years. Hadden says prior to joining the police department, Mashuga served in the military and experienced combat.
Corporal Mashuga is married and in his thirties. He is now listed in stable condition after being shot in the stomach and foot.
Chief Hadden described Cpl. Mashuga as "the kind of guy you just can't say enough about. He's a team player, always willing and ready to help."
The chief says that he couldn't be more thankful for the support law enforcement agencies from across Central Georgia provided throughout the night.
