On Monday morning, the Macon-Bibb County Housing Authority and Macon-Bibb County will begin demolition at the Tindall Heights Apartments.
A news release says this will make way for new homes in the neighborhood, including the Tindall Senior Towers.
County spokesman Chris Floore says this is part of the redevelopment process of the Second Street corridor, which also includes new hotels, restaurants, and the creation of Pinnacle Park.
Demolition begins at 10 a.m. on 985 Plant St.
